Pregnandiol & Pregnancy
Pregnandiol is a female sex hormone, and the amount of it in a woman's urine diminishes markedly toward the end of the monthly cycle--unless pregnancy intervenes. By finding an easy way to test for pregnandiol, Dr. Henry S. Guterman of Chicago has found what is by all odds the fastest test for pregnancy urine yet discovered. He merely adds sulfuric acid to a urine extract and waits about three hours to see if it turns orange color--indicative of pregnancy. Dr. Guterman reported his method in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology Supplement. He claims that his test is as accurate as the well-known one-to two-day Friedman (rabbit) test.
