When Congress quit last month House Doorkeeper Joseph Sinnott took a last look around the bare chamber, went off on his vacation leaving the visitors' gallery open for sightseers. Last week Doorkeeper Sinnott returned from his vacation, peered up at the big gilt clock hanging just below the gallery, saw that some souvenir-hunter had made off with one of its two-foot hands.
