They may now visit alone in college rooms or lodgings. They may receive young men in their common rooms until 10 p. m. instead of sending them home at 6:30.

Oxford's Somerville still demands chaperons. The girls may not go punting without special permission. If they are to be out later than 9 p. m. they must sign a book and return at 11:15. Extra late leave, until midnight, may be obtained by paying a shilling for a yellow ticket.

Most of the young men of Oxford and Cambridge continue to be supremely indifferent whether the young ladies of Somerville and Girton are locked in at 6 p. m. or roam the town until dawn.
