Work Done. Last week, the U. S. Representatives:
P: Amended the Senate's bill to prolong for one year the life of the Federal Radio Commission; passed it; sent it to conference, where it languished in controversy. P: Passed a bill authorizing an appropriation of $4,000,000 for reforestation; sent it to the Senate.
P: Passed and sent to the Senate a bill creating a foreign service in the Department of Agriculture. P: Passed amid cheers and sent to the Senate the $274,000,000 Navy-building bill, authorizing 15 cruisers and one aircraft carrier, construction to be suspended by the President in case of an international disarmament conference, which he was urged to urge.
