The highest price ever paid for a New York Curb Exchange seat was $37,500* (in December, 1925).

Last week Benjamin F. Feiner Jr. (of Feiner & Skutch, Manhattan) fixed the Curb's record for this year by paying $32,000.

*The highest price for a Stock Exchange seat occurred a fortnight ago (TIME, Sept. 19)--$230,000.
