Champion Baby
At Easthampton, L. I., last week judges of a baby contest scrutinized 170 babies, held conference, announced decision. The healthiest of all the babies was pronounced to be Jewel Davis, 16-month-old daughter of James J. Davis, Secretary of Labor. Observers commented on the fact that should any member of Secretary Davis' family register at an hotel as "J. Davis" the identity of that member would still be a matter of conjecture. For Secretary of Labor James John Davis has five children and their names are: James, Jane, Jean, Joan, Jewel. Mrs. Davis is named Jean.
