Poem, Cartoon
Impertinent German Communists have snickered recently over a poem in Rote Fahne (The Red Flag), have bellowed at an obscene cartoon in Knueppel (Cudgel).
Last week the Ministry of the Interior solemnly invoked the Defense of the Republic Act, suppressed Rote Fahne for two weeks, Knueppel for two months.
The poem, the cartoon, had held up to ridicule Paul von Beneckendorff and Hindenburg, President of the Republic, not keen at fathoming jokes.
