Minister to U. S.

For the first time in history, Egypt has a minister in Washington. S. Yousry Pasha, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of Fouad I, arrived at the U. S. Capital and took up temporary quarters at the Willard Hotel.

Minister Yousry is a Mohammedan, an Oxford graduate, a crack shot, "the best polo player in Egypt." With him in Washington are his wife, Princess Zenab (niece of the King) ; his son Wahid; his daughters Loutsia and Nimet; three secretaries and attaches, A. M. Hassanein Bey, Nicola Khalil Effendi, Farag Moussa Effendi; Mohamed Tomara, an Egyptian priest.
