Invasion?
Herr August Thyssen, who, next to Herr Hugo Stinnes, is the most powerful industrialist in Germany, sent his agent, Dr. Holzwarth, to the U. S. to buy options on lignite areas in North Dakota.
The reason for this move, according to Dr. Holzwarth, is that Thyssen's chemists have perfected a process to produce from lignite, the supply of which is almost inexhaustible, a fuel equal in efficiency to anthracite.
It is also to be remembered that Hugo Stinnes' son has been in the U. S. and reported to be seeking a firm grip on American and Mexican oil fields.
