In Missouri
Four large murals by Frank Brangwyn, distinguished English painter-etcher, were placed in the rotunda of the Missouri State Capitol, Jefferson City. They depict four epochs in Missouri history: The Landing of Laclede, The Pioneer, The Home Builder, Industry. Artists declared them outranked by no mural painting in the U. S. except the Sargent and Puvis de Chavannes decorations in the Boston Library.
