Tidal Wave

A tidal wave, attributed to the seismic disturbances in Japan, wiped the village of San Jose de Cabo off the map. The number of people killed is not known, but most of the 500 inhabitants were reported to have escaped to higher ground before the catastrophe took place.

San Jose de Cabo is situated above Cape San Lucas, the extreme tip of Lower California.
