Mexican Recognition

The representatives of the U. S. and Mexico have now been assembled in conclave at Mexico City, for more than three months. No official statement has been issued to date. Last week the press was as optimistic as ever: The Journal of Commerce: " Before the end of next week it is expected that the two American Commissioners . . . will report the successful conclusion of their negotiations . . . " Public Ledger (Philadelphia) : "The American and Mexican Commission will sign the Warren-Roa accord Saturday (Aug. 11)." New York American: "Mexican accord waits on Coolidge--Approval on recognition expected by Tuesday (Aug. 14)."
