Sir William Joynson-Hicks, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, informed the House of Commons that bullion to the amount of -L-3,817,232 had been salvaged from the steamship Laurentic, sunk by a German mine off the northwest coast of Ireland on Jan. 23, 1917. The Laurentic lies in 138 feet of water.
