Vivisection

The American Society of Mammalogists, meeting in the Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia, adopted a resolution in favor of the unhampered continuance of scientific experimentation on living ani mals, based on the recognized advances in medicine and surgery made possible through its use, and declaring that these experiments "almost invariably are conducted humanely."
