Unwilling Siki
Since being bitten by a lion in a Paris cafe, Battling Siki has faded from the public eye. He takes the opportunity to regain a place in the news columns by refusing publicly an alleged offer from Tex Rickard of $10,000 to fight Kid Norfolk, American Negro, in New York this summer. Siki explains that since his experience with Mike McTigue in a Dublin ring he has become convinced that he can get a square deal "nowhere in the world outside of continental Europe."
