Pinky, Ritchie and Benny

The Chicago public was presented with a bout not on the card when Ritchie Mitchell piled into the ring after his brother Pinky's defeat by Benny Leonard, and struck Referee Miller in the mouth. Ritchie objected to the latter's decision that Leonard had won by knockout without troubling to count Pinky out. Since the round had only five seconds to go when Pinky went down, much of the crowd agreed with Ritchie.
