No Mileage Books?

The question of whether or not the railroads would issue, beginning May 15, $90 mileage scrip books at $72 was settled for a time by decision of the Federal District Court in Boston. The Interstate Commerce Commission ordered the issue of mileage books. Fifty railroads of the East asked an injunction restraining their issue. Three judges granted a permanent injunction, declaring the Interstate Commerce Commission's order illegal.

The Commission and the Traveling Salesmen's Association have announced their intention of appealing the case to the Supreme Court Meanwhile the railroads rejoice, saying they have been saved $32,000,000.
