Detroit

Mr. Gabrilowitsch, with the Detroit orchestra, enters loudly into the Mahler controversy. The conductor is busy, with augmented orchestra and large chorus, rehearsing the Bohemian composer's huge " Resurrection" symphony, which will be performed early next month. The outcry of the people who dislike Mahler's music will arise in as great a fortissimo as any in the symphony.
